This is an anthology of original research and photographs from the Stanford University's class focusing on the Bloomsbury Group that was held at King's College, Cambridge, England in September 2012. The preface reads: "Early in the month of September 2012, a small group of students& ; and their professor, Peter D. L. Stansky, traveled from their& ; academic home in the Master of Liberal Arts program at& ; Stanford University to commence an intellectual journey& ; at King& 019;s College, Cambridge University, England. Their purpose& ; was to explore the Bloomsbury Group, its influential ideas, artistic& ; endeavors, and cultural and intellectual significance in the worlds& ; of literature, history, the visual arts, economics, politics, gender, and& ; society. While residing in and around a beautiful campus and English& ; town saturated with history and gravitas, these graduate students& ; read and met to discuss seminal texual works by central Bloomsbury& ; figures, performed original and transcendent research with rare access& ; to the Modern Archives at King& 019;s, and took in the visual feasts of the& ; college& 019;s collection of art from Bloomsbury& 019;s painters and sculptors.& ; Balancing these pursuits of knowledge and academic exercise, these& ; students stepped into the rare English sunlight that a loving fate& ; poured on their time in Cambridge and explored the area with a& ; seemingly unquenchable thirst for the tastes, smells, and experiences& ; of the Bloomsbury Group& 019;s old haunts and sites of inspiration. They& ; clinked glasses of ale in the College Bar, shopped in the town, toured& ; local churches and galleries, punted on the River Cam, broke bread& ; in King& 019;s Dining Hall, took tea at Grantchester, attended dramatic& ; plays, crossed the lawn with their beloved Professor, admired the& ; soaring buttresses of King& 019;s College Chapel, and fell into brotherly& ; and sisterly love with each other all the while. This is a chronicle of& ; that journey, and what they& 014;what we& 014;discovered, not only about& ; Bloomsbury, but also about ourselves& 026;"

While his early writings had championed classical forms and rejected modern styles, he went on to develop distinctly Romantic aesthetics and ethics. We have tried to emphasize in the Ute-English entries the historical and derivational connectivity of Ute vocabulary and its gradual growth and expansion.Following his ideals, he proclaimed his intention to raise the quality of German opera, by himself if necessary. He aimed to build a gigantic state to dwarf even the British Empire.Together, the two volumes are an indispensable guide to porcelain and pottery marks of the last four centuries.
